2008 Alabama Brangus Breeders Bull Sale Guidelines
Entry Deadline: September 15, 2008
1. Consignors must be a member of the Alabama Brangus Breeders Association.
2. All bulls must be registered with
IBBA and have performance and EPDs for birth, weaning, yearling, and maternal to publish in catalog. If available, ultrasound
data or carcass EPDs will be listed.
3. Age range: 14 to 36 months by sale date.
4. Bulls will be weighed
upon arrival (a 5% shrink will be allowed as bulls are weighed) and must meet the following minimum weight standards:

Bulls not meeting the delivery weight requirements will be rejected from the sale at the sale delivery when weights are taken and
calculated.
5. The deadline to consign bulls to this sale is September 15, 2008. The following items need to be sent
to the address below for each bull consigned:

a. Signed Registration Paper with current EPD's
b. Footnote Information (Limit to 2 lines).
c. Entry fee of $100 per bull plus a completed nomination form. Make checks payable tp Bruns Sales Co.
d. Good pictures are encouranged. Sale Manager will decide if pictures are right for catalog.
6. Withdrawals
or substitutions will be allowed until October 15, 2008 without forfeiting entry fees.
7. The $100 entry fee per bull is
due with the nomination. It will be refunded provided the bull arrives at the sale and is sold. The sale cost includes:
4% Sale Management, 1% Auctioneer, 1% ABBA, all consignors will be charged the six percent, in addition the fixed cost of catalog,
advertising, ring service, barn rent and sale day labor will be divided by the number of bulls sold and each consignor will be charged
their share per bull sold. Also Beef Promotion will be deducted for each bull sold.
8. In order to comply with sate
and federal laws currently in effect regarding tuberculosis, brucellosis, and interstate shipment of breeding cattle, please bring
health papers on your bulls.
9. A minimum scrotal circumference of 34 cm is required for all bulls selling. The consignor
is responsible for having each bull's semen evaluated within 30 days prior to sale date. The consignor guarantees every bull
selling to be a breeder, for a period of sixmonths following sale date.
